Spark Power is seeking a full-time Solar Technician in Sycamore, IL, to maintain and service utility-scale solar and battery storage facilities. pstrongWhat you’ll be doing as a Solar Technician: /strong/p
ulliFollow all Health and Safety policies to maintain a zero-incident workplace/liliComplete routine safety documentation before every job including tailgate meetings, electrical work permits, etc./liliTechnical troubleshooting amp; preventative maintenance activities to maximize performance/production/liliEnergization/de-energization procedures/liliFollow amp; implement LOTO plans amp; procedures/liliInterpret schematics and blueprints/liliQuality assurance checklists and inspections to document deficiencies and identify corrective actions needed/liliFollow OEM specific maintenance requirements in addition to company standards and industry best practices i.e. NETA MTS, CSA Z463, NFPA 70E, etc./liliDaily digital reporting and documentation of all work performed/liliWork in a team-based environment and independently whereas necessary/liliParticipation in on-call weekend services on a rotating schedule/liliIdentify and provide feedback to issues and ongoing development of projects/liliWilling to work overtime as needed/liliKeep the sites looking clean and safe– buildings, vegetation, fences, gates, roads, etc./liliEnsure spare parts inventory is organized and clean/li/ul

ulliHigh school diploma or equivalent/liliPrevious Solar Technician experience is a plus/liliPost-secondary education with an electrical or mechanical base is an asset/liliState certified Journeyman license an asset/liliKnowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) an asset/liliValid Driver’s License with clean driving record /liliMust be able to lift 75lb/liliPositive attitude, strong work ethic and a willingness to learn/liliDigital literacy (proficiency with mobile apps and various software: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Report writing)/liliElectrical amp; mechanical aptitude and experience/liliAttention to detail/liliAbility to work with a team mentality and liaise with customers to ensure quality of service/liliWork in adverse weather conditions and extreme temperatures/liliFirm commitment to safety/li/ul
