Solar Technician

Job Summary

New Farm Solar is seeking a motivated Solar Technician with a passion for learning and problem solving. The ideal candidate has some experience with solar, electrical work, no fear of heights, and most importantly, an interest in the solar industry as a career. This role involves working on rooftops and construction sites, ensuring that solar panels are installed efficiently and safely according to specifications.

Duties
• Work with a crew to complete major installations
• Organize maintenance tasks and complete them in an efficient manner
• Troubleshoot issues
• Communicate with manufacturer help lines
• Install rooftop solar panels
• Ability to lift heavy objects (100+ lbs.)
• Document installation processes, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered during work.
• Customer communications

Experience/Requirements
• Self-motivated
• Able to drive a vehicle with no limitations (background check required)
• Ability to work flexible schedules, from 12 hour days to overnights to multiple days off
• Proficiency in using hand tools, voltmeters, and other relevant equipment for installations.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• Must have reliable transportation
