Direct Watts is seeking a Solar Technician in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar PV systems for residential and commercial clients. Job Overview
As a Solar Technician at Solar Roofs, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential and commercial clients across Uttarakhand. You will ensure that systems are installed safely, meet quality standards, and operate efficiently to provide clients with reliable solar energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Installation of Solar PV Systems
• Conduct site assessments to determine optimal panel placement.
• Install, assemble, and connect solar modules, panels, and support structures.
• Ensure all components are installed in compliance with safety standards and local building codes.
System Testing and Troubleshooting
• Perform regular tests and inspections to verify system functionality.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in solar installations, including inverter failures, wiring issues, and panel damage.
• Make repairs or adjustments as needed to optimize system performance.
Maintenance and Quality Assurance
• Conduct routine maintenance, such as cleaning panels and inspecting wiring and mounting structures.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and protocols to maintain high-quality installations.
Client Interaction and Support
• Provide clear, concise information to clients regarding system functionality, maintenance, and warranty.
• Educate customers on basic operation and care for solar installations.
• Address client concerns and provide support for any system issues.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
• Follow and promote all health and safety protocols on-site.
• Handle and dispose of materials responsibly to minimize environmental impact.
Team Collaboration
• Work closely with installation teams, project managers, and sales staff to ensure project success.
• Report project progress, challenges, and any support requirements to management.
Qualifications And Skills
• Diploma or technical certification in electrical, mechanical, or solar energy.
• Previous experience in solar PV installation or electrical work is preferred.
• Understanding of electrical wiring, schematics, and solar system components.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
