Candidates will preferably live in the Twin Falls, ID or Rosamond, CA area.Position SummaryThe Supervisor Commercial Renewable Operations is responsible for delivering profitable results at a Deriva owned solar sites located in assigned area. Achieve profitable results through safe, efficient, environmentally sound operations that are consistent with both Deriva policy and industry best practices. Responsible for the safety (human and environmental) and final work product of all persons who are on the site including but not limited to permanent and temporarily assigned Deriva staff as well as contractors, suppliers and vendors. Responsible for maintaining a positive, transparent, collaborative working relationship with other corporate support functions. Responsible for maintaining a positive, contractually sound relationship with all landowners and power off-takers we've partnered with at the asset, while maintaining a positive presence in the broader community where we live and work. Expected to troubleshoot, maintain and perform operations in the field. Other tasks and duties as assigned from leadership.ResponsibilitiesTrouble shooting and maintaining generation technologyProblem solving BOP issues including but not limited to roads, gates, substations and transmission linesWork planning and oversight of work product being delivered through employees and contractorsDrive site UMC to meet corporation goals and metricsResponsible for managing the sites within each site budget, approved by leadership. Driving efficiency and performance of technicians on siteGeneral administration including but not limited to: environmental/safety/regulatory compliance, time sheets, setting of individual and business unit goals, setting expectations and driving accountability, employee coaching/counseling/developmentOff-taker, landowner and community relations, travel to other assets when neededBasic QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentSix (6) years or more of related work experienceExperience leading a team or having direct reportsDesired QualificationsExperience managing techniciansSolar Technician-1,2 and Electrical Operator 1 & 2Three (3) years or more of technical experience with Deriva Energy as a Solar/Wind TechnicianAbility to complete supervisor job performance measures within the probationary periodRequired to travel to support all sites within regionAbility to support additional regions as requestedAdditional years of solar maintenance experienceKnowledge of heavy equipment used for facility maintenance and working knowledge of crane and rigging requirementsProven experience of successfully managing and developing solar maintenanceWorking ConditionsValid driver's license requiredAbility to travel to support all Deriva fleet projectsExposure to mechanical, electrical, and/or other hazardsExposure to noisy, dusty conditions, chemicals, or solventsOperate equipment including but not limited to forklifts and commercial motor vehiclesAbility to lift up to 50lbs individuallyWalking, Climbing of stairs, ladders, and/or scaffoldsWorking in all-weather outdoor conditions (extreme heat, cold, wind, rain, snow)Completion of OEM or third-party technical specialty training programBenefitsHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401(k) with matchingEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveAttractive Bonus PotentialAdditional Information:Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Deriva welcomes veterans of the United States Armed Forces to apply for this position.
