Job Description

United Renewable Energy, LLC is hiring a Solar Site Manager in Danville, PA. The role involves overseeing solar PV project construction, ensuring safety protocols, managing subcontractors, and maintaining site operations. The position requires on-site presence, with lodging provided if necessary. Candidates should have 4+ years in construction and 2+ years in a supervisory role. Full-time employment is possible but not guaranteed.
United Renewable Energy, LLC (URE) develops, designs, builds and maintains solar photovoltaic and energy storage systems for utilities, industrial and commercial companies. URE has been operating as an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction firm since 2008. Our headquarter is in Cumming, GA, with project locations throughout the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest. We are a dynamic team and maintain a high level of detail and professionalism in all aspects of construction and business communications.

URE is currently hiring an experienced and talented Construction Site Manager who works closely with our Project Managers in the daily operation of start to finish Solar PV project construction. Project locations vary, with upcoming locations near Mt. Pleasant Mills, Pennsylvania
.

The Site Manager will mobilize and remain stationed near the job site location, with lodging provided if necessary. Benefits include per diem, cell phone reimbursement, potential for travel reimbursement, and laptop. This is a project-based position, with duration of work dependent on the specific location and project assignment. Full-time employment may be offered but is not guaranteed.

Oversee all operations on site from start to finish, including:
• Establishment of site controls for traffic patterns, materials storage, subcontractor facilities, and site security.
• Administration and enforcement of safety protocols in accordance with company Environmental, Health and Safety Plan and OSHA requirements.
• Leading toolbox talks and ad hoc safety meetings.
• Maintaining daily workhours, work, photo, and weather logs in the company Procore construction management application and submission of daily and weekly internal reports.
• With oversight from the Project Manager, day-to-day management of subcontractors including resource management of personnel on site, materials, equipment inventory, and tracking of schedules and progress.
• Continuous inspection of the construction site to ensure all activities are in line with design plans.
• Weekly and ad hoc stormwater and pollution control inspections and reporting.
• Conduct daily site inspections for cleanliness and safety.
• Management of rental facilities including sanitation, waste management, and temporary power.
• Coordination with local authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) for electrical and building inspections.
• Management of visitor logs and administration of safety agreements.
• Maintain a set of as-built drawings for any approved deviations in each of the discipline areas (civil, mechanical, electrical).
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with client, Project Manager, design team, subcontractors, AHJs, and vendors.
• Supervise receipt of equipment and materials and maintenance for accurate records.
Qualifications
• High school graduate. Post high school education is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screens, criminal background, and DMV check.
• 4+ years in electrical and/or construction environment.
• 2+ years in supervisor or manager capacity.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, plans, and equipment specifications.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft office, Google Suite, and documents/picture sharing and modification.
• Physical ability and willingness to work in outside conditions.
• OSHA 30 certification and First Aid/CPR/AED Certification - or willing to complete training once hired.
• Ability to work nights and weekends if required.
• Solar experience preferred, but not required.
Location
• Site Managers will mobilize and remain stationed near the job site location, with lodging provided if necessary.
• Site Managers may be asked to travel to various project and office locations.
• Preference is given to candidates in the Mt. Pleasant Mills, Pennsylvania region or who are willing to relocate.
