The role involves visiting homeowners, educating them on solar energy benefits, and closing sales without cold calling. Candidates should have at least 2 years of solar sales experience and a full UK driving license. The position offers a salary of £23,500 plus commission, flexible working hours, and comprehensive training.
Solar Sales Executive
Trade Recruit is recruiting on behalf of one of our prestigious clients, a leading provider of high-quality solar panel and battery storage solutions. Our client specialises in helping homeowners reduce their energy bills and carbon footprint with tailored renewable energy solutions. As the demand for solar energy grows, we are expanding our operations across the North West and are seeking ambitious sales professionals to join our dynamic team.
We are looking for self-motivated, target-driven individuals with experience in direct sales to homeowners, ideally within the solar or renewable energy sector.
With no cold calling required, our marketing team books pre-qualified appointments directly into your calendar, allowing you to focus on what you do best closing sales. You will visit potential customers, educate them on the benefits of solar energy, and tailor solutions to meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Attend pre-booked appointments with homeowners
• Educate customers on the benefits of solar panels and battery storage solutions
• Conduct thorough energy assessments and propose customised solar solutions
• Produce Open Solar designs
• Close sales deals and meet or exceed sales targets
• Represent company with professionalism, ensuring excellent customer service
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience in direct residential solar sales
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for closing deals
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage appointments effectively
• Confidence in working directly with homeowners and making on-the-spot decisions
• A results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets
Requirements
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales (required)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in solar sales (required)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in field solar sales (required)
• 1 year of Open Solar Design experience (preferred)
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to accommodate customer schedules
• A strong interest in renewable energy and sustainability
