About the Role

We’re seeking a driven and enthusiastic Energy Consultant to join our team in Portland, OR. In this role, you’ll meet with homeowners in their homes to educate them on solar energy, assess their needs, and guide them through the process of switching to solar. If you have strong people skills and a passion for clean energy, we provide all the tools, training, and support you need to thrive. Prior solar experience is a plus, but not required.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct in-home consultations with homeowners to evaluate energy needs

• Educate clients about the environmental and financial benefits of solar energy

• Generate your own appointments through outreach, networking and door knocking

• Present customized solar solutions

• Manage your sales pipeline and follow up with prospects

• Attend training and team meetings to continuously improve

• Act as a brand ambassador for Purelight Power in the community

What We’re Looking For

• No prior solar sales experience required—we train the right people

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and competitive

• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Passion for renewable energy and helping families

• Sales experience (especially in-home sales) is a strong plus
