Solar Roof Lead

Apex Energy LLC is hiring a Solar Roof Lead in Jamaica, NY, to supervise solar installation projects and lead a team of technicians. Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Team Leader to oversee solar installation projects and lead a team of technicians in the field. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in solar energy systems, and demonstrate leadership capabilities. This role involves ensuring that installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Duties
• Lead and supervise a team of solar installers on various projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project timelines.
• Coordinate fixture installation and ensure proper setup of solar panels and related equipment.
• Conduct low voltage and high voltage electrical work as required by project specifications.
• Oversee construction site activities, ensuring compliance with all regulations and safety standards.
• Utilize hand tools and equipment effectively for installation tasks, including the operation of forklifts when necessary.
• Collaborate with project managers to assess project requirements and allocate resources accordingly.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members on best practices for solar installation techniques.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the installation process, ensuring timely resolutions.
• Drive own vehicle to and from Job sites

Requirements
• Proven experience in Roofing, Framing, preferably as a Solar roof lead or in a similar role within the solar industry.
• Familiarity with construction site operations and safety regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings related to solar installations.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and operating forklifts safely.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions as needed.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
