About the position

Kokosing is seeking a dedicated Solar PV Installation Technician to join our Operations Team in Cleveland, OH. This full-time position involves the installation and servicing of components of Solar PV systems, primarily for residential and commercial customers. As a member of the installation team, you will work collaboratively with your colleagues to build solar electrical systems, which includes installing solar panels and their components on roofs and ground-mounted racking systems. The role requires effective time management to ensure that all work is completed safely and correctly, adhering to the high standards set by Kokosing. In this position, you will report to the Construction Manager and work closely with Project Managers and Crew Lead Installation Technicians. Communication is key, as you will need to coordinate with all team members to ensure that everyone is aligned with the company’s values and project goals. The job also involves physical demands, including working on lifts, ladders, rooftops, and in other hard-to-access areas. You will need to demonstrate manual dexterity for frequent reaching, climbing, and lifting of objects weighing up to 100 lbs. Additionally, you will be required to operate various power tools and may work in confined spaces, under variable weather conditions, and at varying heights. Safety is a top priority at Kokosing. You will be required to wear all necessary safety gear and adhere to safety policies. This includes following vehicle safety protocols, such as avoiding distracted driving and maintaining a clean and organized vehicle. The position requires travel within Ohio and potentially to surrounding states, with an expectation of 2 to 4 nights of overnight travel each week. Responsibilities
• Work with other team members to build solar electrical systems for residential and commercial customers.

Requirements
• High School Diploma required.

• At least six to twelve months of experience in construction, renewable energy, and/or commercial or residential photovoltaics preferred.

• Basic computer proficiency, including the use of applications on a cell phone.

• Experience operating lulls, forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, trenchers, and augers is a strong plus.

• Willingness and ability to travel 2 to 4 nights weekly.
