Trajectory Energy Partners is a solar energy development company seeking a Project Development Manager to establish and build their solar market in Ohio. The role focuses on identifying potential solar project sites, negotiating leases with landowners, and managing the zoning process for solar projects.


Responsibilities

Build Trajectory’s development pipeline from the ground up in Ohio, identifying and advancing high-quality solar opportunitiesLead initial outreach to landowners of potential solar sites through targeted mailings and in-person community engagementNegotiate and finalize solar leases with landownersStrong communicator who can work directly with landowners and local officials on zoning efforts for solar projectsOrganize and lead community outreach events to inform local landowners and other stakeholders of project details and respond to feedback and questionsMapping and GIS analysis to identify potential solar project sitesDue diligence of potential project sites from a resource, environmental, permitting, land, constructability, cost, community receptivity, and interconnection perspectiveSupport the management of third-party diligence consultants on solar sitesSupport project financing, including related due diligenceRegular travel to work with landowners and local officials on solar projects
Skills

Experience working with landowners on solar leases or other similar sales experienceExcellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to distill complex technical, legal, and financial subjects into commercial practicalityFamiliarity with ArcGIS and Google Earth preferredKnowledge of energy or renewable energy developmentStrong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with Airtable, Salesforce, or other database and/or CRM softwareConfirmed ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teamsExperience in project managementStrong organization skills and ability to handle time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a rapidly changing environmentCollaborative mindset with confidence to lead a new marketPreference for candidates with a strong network in Ohio, in particular in agricultural sector, real estate industry, and/or local government or politics
