365 Solar is seeking a full-time Solar Maintenance Technician in Hillcrest, South Africa. Ideal candidates are qualified electricians or those with electrical/solar experience. 365 Solar is looking for a motivated and hands-on Solar Maintenance Technician to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for a qualified electrician, electrical apprentice, or technically minded individual with electrical or solar experience who is eager to develop their skills within the renewable energy industry.
We are looking for someone energetic, reliable, and passionate about learning. Whether you already have solar experience or are looking to build a career in the industry, this is an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and gain exposure to commercial and industrial solar systems across South Africa.
Key Responsibilities
Perform fault finding and diagnostic assessments on solar PV systems.
Carry out on-site repairs, maintenance, and technical support.
Monitor system performance using OEM monitoring platforms and identify issues proactively.
Interpret system data, logs, and alerts to support troubleshooting and reporting.
Assist with system commissioning and performance verification.
Complete service reports and maintain accurate technical records.
Work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.
Support ongoing maintenance programmes and preventative inspections.
Requirements
Electrical qualification, trade certification, or relevant technical experience.
Previous experience working with electrical systems, solar PV systems, or renewable energy technologies.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working at heights and travelling to sites when required.
Computer literate and confident using monitoring platforms, reporting software, and digital communication tools.
Valid driver's licence.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Positive attitude and ability to work independently and within a team.
