Solar Installer

Firefly Solar is seeking a Solar Installer in Piedmont, SC. This entry-level position involves installing residential solar panels. Candidates should have basic construction skills, experience in solar installation is preferred, and must be able to work at heights. We are the only Elite Panasonic Installer in the Carolinas, a Panasonic Central East Installer of the Year, a Certified Tesla Powerwall installer and Tesla Off-Grid Installer as well as one of Solar Power World's top 300 solar contractor's.

We are looking for someone who will be a long term member of our team starting with this entry level position primarily installing residential solar panels.

Position Title: SOLAR INSTALLER

Position Summary: Install roof and ground mounted solar systems.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Knowledge:
• Basic construction / mechanical skills REQUIRED
• Solar installation experience preferred
• Fall protection methods and equipment REQUIRED with minimum 1 year experience in roof work or general construction REQUIRED.

Skills:
• General mechanical ability and construction experience
• Comfortable in a fast paced work environment
• Team player

Certifications:
• South Carolina Drivers License required
• OSHA 10 safety certificate preferred

Physical / Environmental Requirements:
• Able to handle stressful situations
• Sit or stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, lift up to 80 lbs, bend, push, pull, squat, kneel
• Must be able to withstand and work in periods of extreme temperatures and humidity
• Must be comfortable working at heights
• Communicate clearly and accurately
• Neat personal grooming and appearance with pleasing manner and interpersonal skills
• Punctual

Major Responsibilities:
• Install rooftop racking, solar modules and equipment
• Assure positive sealing of all roof penetrations
• Install ground mounted systems with related trenching
• Follow SEQ (Safety / Efficiency / Quality) Policies and Procedures
• Maintain a positive attitude
• Keep work site and vehicles clean and organized
• Complete work on schedule
• Report accidents and injuries immediately

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
