Optimus Energy Solutions is hiring a Solar Installer in Mt Dora, FL. This is a full-time position with a pay range of $22.00 - $25.00 per hour.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, as well as the ability to read schematics and perform fixture installations safely and efficiently. The Solar Installer will work closely with project managers and clients to ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
• Install solar panels, inverters, and other related equipment on rooftops and ground-mounted systems.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand installation requirements.
• Ensure proper alignment, plumb, and secure installation of solar fixtures.
• Conduct electrical work including low voltage and high voltage wiring as per NEC standards.
• Utilize tools such as voltmeters to test electrical systems for functionality and safety.
• Operate forklifts safely to transport materials to job sites as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to complete installations efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements
• Previous experience in solar installation or related electrical work is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage applications.
• Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards is a plus.
• Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
• Experience with fixture installation techniques is beneficial.
• Comfortable working at heights on roofs and other elevated surfaces.
• Forklift certification is preferred but not required; training may be provided.
• Must be detail-oriented, reliable, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
