Position Summary

As a Solar Installation Electrician, you will play a vital role in the installation and servicing of solar systems, with additional opportunities to expand your skills in energy storage and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the installation process connecting solar arrays to residential power grids.
• Guarantee that all electrical work meets safety standards and complies with current NEC and local codes.
• Assist with solar battery installations and troubleshoot any system issues that arise.
• Plan and execute Main Panel Upgrades (MPU) safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members and homeowners to perform necessary system upgrades or repairs.
• Work directly with local inspectors to meet requirements and expectations.
• Additional tasks as assigned, with minimal travel required (5%).

Qualifications
• Required experience in electrical installation and repairs.
• Experience working with electrical systems up to 600 VDC and 480 VAC is advantageous.
• Knowledge of residential electrical service and distribution panel replacements preferred.
• Possession of a valid Journeyman License/Electrician Certification in accordance with local and state laws.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Emphasis on safety and strong customer-centric approach.

Physical Demands
• Ability to handle and transport equipment (frequently up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance).
• Ability to work in various outdoor conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and wet environments.
• Capability to work on roofs and in confined spaces, demanding flexibility and balance.
• Ability to distinguish colors and hear necessary commands for safety.
• Willingness to work while wearing appropriate safety gear.

Compensation

Starting salary ranges from $45.26 to $60.34 per hour, based on experience and location.
