As a Solar Energy Specialist, you will play a key role in advancing our mission to deliver high-quality solar energy solutions to commercial properties. You will be responsible for conducting thorough site assessments, designing initial Helioscope layouts for solar installations, and ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of solar energy systems through maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Site Assessments: Conduct detailed site evaluations for commercial properties to assess the feasibility of solar energy solutions. This includes evaluating roof structures, shading, electrical systems, and energy usage.
• Helioscope Design: Create initial solar system designs using Helioscope, ensuring optimal energy production, cost efficiency, and adherence to client specifications and regulations.
• System Installations and Repairs: Oversee the installation of solar panels and related equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality control. Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on solar energy systems to maximize system efficiency.
• Client Consultation: Provide clients with clear, professional recommendations on system sizing, energy savings, and long-term benefits. Act as the technical expert, answering questions related to solar technology, installation, and maintenance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, project management, and engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all solar energy systems meet local and national building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of site assessments, designs, installation processes, and system performance. Provide regular updates to clients and internal teams.

Qualifications:
• Electrical training is required
• Bachelors degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with solar system design software, particularly Helioscope.
• Strong understanding of solar energy technologies and installation processes.
• Proven ability to conduct site assessments and analyze energy needs for commercial properties.
• Strong problem-solving skills for system repairs and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal solar energy regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically engage in tasks.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Experience working on commercial solar projects.
• Hands-on experience with solar panel installation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of battery storage systems and other renewable energy technologies.
• Project management experience.
• NABCEP Certification
