Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar PV Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:
• Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including mounting panels, wiring, and connecting to the electrical grid.
• Perform site assessments to determine the best panel placement and system layout.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ensure installations comply with national electrical codes and regulations.
• Conduct routine maintenance and system performance testing to ensure optimal functionality.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with solar PV systems and implement effective solutions.
• Work collaboratively with team members, electricians, and project managers to complete installations on time.
• Follow all safety procedures, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to company safety policies.
• Educate clients on system operation and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in solar energy systems is a plus.
• Previous experience in solar PV installation, electrical work, or roofing preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring, schematics, and solar energy technology.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 kgs).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: £28,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
