Solar Design Engineer

CyberCoders is seeking a Solar Design Engineer in Berkeley, CA, to design and implement solar energy systems for commercial projects. Responsibilities include using AutoCAD for system designs, conducting site assessments, preparing construction documents, and collaborating with project teams. We are an established commercial and residential Solar company that has been at the forefront of renewable energy technology for 40+ years. Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Solar Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing solar energy systems for commercial projects, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Design solar energy systems for commercial applications using AutoCAD and other design software.
• Conduct site assessments to determine optimal solar panel placement and system design.
• Prepare detailed design drawings and construction documents including permit applications.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other engineers to ensure project specifications are met.
• Perform electrical calculations and analysis to optimize system performance and safety.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in solar energy.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Solar Design Engineering and Commercial Solar projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD electrical software.
• Strong understanding of solar/photovoltaic systems and CFC regulations.
• Experience with electrical calculations and ST systems.
• Familiarity with construction and permit drawings.
