3D SOLAR DESIGNERWaukesha, WI - in-person flexibility across the Midwest An engineering & construction services firm is looking for a 3D Designer within their renewable energy team. This 3D Design Specialist will be responsible for leading design teams for a wide range of Site Civil, Land Development and Public infrastructure projects with a focus on ground mounted solar arrays and battery energy storage systems. This engineering & construction firm is a part of a group of companies currently in its third generation of family leadership producing high-quality construction materials and delivering unparalleled professional design, engineering, and construction services. Roles and Responsibilities:Develop civil infrastructure solutions for ground-mounted solar arrays, battery energy storage systems, hydrogen fuel cell stations, reciprocating internal combustion engine plants, and biogas power generation facilities.Create digital terrain models for solar arrays and access roads using AutoCAD Civil3D.Evaluate site restrictions, conditions, easements, and power capacity for new photovoltaic project opportunities.Draft construction plans for PV solar plant layouts, electrical single-line diagrams, main equipment elevations, grading plans, drainage swales, erosion control BMPs, and access roads.Produce comprehensive project design drawings adhering to the highest drafting standards.Collaborate with civil engineers, design professionals, and permitting specialists.Communicate with clients, sub-consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies at all government levels regarding engineering, permitting, and site development issues. Qualifications:Associate's degree in civil engineering technology or at least 5 years of relevant experience.Proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D.Skilled in using ESRI ArcMap or similar mapping tools.Proficiency in PVSyst is a significant advantage.3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within the photovoltaic (PV) sector.Strong written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic setting.Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team, providing constructive feedback and direction to achieve goals.
