Job Description:
Bryton Power is seeking a Solar CAD Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and drafting detailed solar photovoltaic system layouts, electrical schematics, and structural details using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Your work will help optimize solar projects, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.

As a key member of our design team, you’ll collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and permitting specialists to develop innovative solar solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create detailed solar PV system designs and layouts using CAD software
• Develop site plans, electrical diagrams, and structural details for residential solar projects
• Ensure designs comply with local building codes, permitting requirements, and industry standards
• Perform system performance simulations to ensure optimal solar production and system efficiency
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet structural and electrical standards
• Review and modify designs based on feedback from project managers, installers, and permitting authorities
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records of design work
• Support the permitting process by preparing and submitting drawings and design packages for approval

Qualifications:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software
• Strong understanding of solar energy systems and industry standards
• Knowledge of electrical wiring, solar panel layout, and racking systems
• Ability to produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings
• Experience with solar performance modeling tools is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team
