Job Description

Smart Roofs Energy is hiring Solar Appointment Setters / Canvassers in Connecticut for a door-to-door role focused on generating interest in solar energy. Candidates should have strong communication skills and be comfortable with rejection. This independent contractor position offers uncapped earnings based on performance, with potential monthly income ranging from $5,000 to $10,000+. Experience in sales or canvassing is preferred but not required.
Solar Homes 360 is hiring motivated, outgoing, and hard-working individuals to join our team as Solar Appointment Setters / Canvassers in Connecticut.

This is a primarily door-to-door role. Your job is to speak with homeowners, generate interest in solar, and set qualified appointments for our energy consultants. If you are confident talking to people, can handle rejection, and want to get paid for performance, this is a real income opportunity.

This role is ideal for people with experience in:
• door-to-door sales
• canvassing
• solar
• lead generation
• appointment setting
• home improvement sales
• retail or other customer-facing sales roles

You do not need to be the closer. Your job is to create opportunity and get qualified homeowners to sit with our sales team.

Compensation

This is a 1099 independent contractor role with uncapped earning potential.

Pay Structure
• $150 per completed homeowner appointment
• $1,000 per signed sale
• Additional performance bonuses available
• Paid weekly

Earning Potential

Your income is driven by your effort, consistency, and ability to create quality opportunities.

Example earnings:
• 5 completed appointments per month + 2 sales = $2,750
• 10 completed appointments per month + 3 sales = $4,500
• 15 completed appointments per month + 4 sales = $6,250
• 20 completed appointments per month + 5 sales = $8,000+
• Top performers can earn $5,000 to $10,000+ per month

What You’ll Do
• Canvass neighborhoods and speak directly with homeowners
• Start conversations about the benefits of going solar
• Generate interest and pre-qualify prospects
• Set in-home appointments for our solar consultants
• Accurately enter and track lead and appointment information
• Represent Solar Homes 360 professionally in the field
• Learn and improve through coaching, feedback, and repetition

What Counts as a Paid Appointment

To qualify for appointment pay, the appointment must be:
• completed
• held with the homeowner present
• a legitimate solar consultation opportunity
• properly documented in company systems

Solar experience is a plus, but not required for the right person.

What Success Looks Like

Successful reps in this role are consistent with activity, confident in conversation, and able to create qualified homeowner appointments on a regular basis.

Target performance looks like:
• 8–10 appointments set per week
• 4–6 completed homeowner appointments per week
• 1–2 signed sales per week
