Job Description
Loblaw is hiring a Co-op Student for Social Impact, Sustainability, and Government Relations in Brampton, ON, for a 4-month term starting September 8, 2025. The role involves supporting government relations, tracking legislation, and assisting with sustainability projects. Candidates should have relevant education and experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with legislative processes. The position allows for hybrid work, with up to one day remote each week.

Fall 2025 Work Term
Term Length: 4 months
Term Start: September 8, 2025
Term End: December 19, 2025
As of October 15, 2024 Loblaw has adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 1 day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office (to be determined by each business unit).
Loblaw’s Corporate Affairs is looking for an intern to assist the sustainability, social impact, and government relations team.
Role Responsibilities
• Support Government Relations team in anticipating government policy and regulatory developments
• Scan and identify government initiatives and opportunities that meet organization goals and priorities
• Track the movement of legislation and policies
• Prepare materials for and attend meetings with government officials and stakeholders
• Supporting the government relations, sustainability, and social impact team on internal projects
• Research sustainability and environment, social, and governance trends
Role Requirements:
• University degree or enrollment in a relevant program
• 1-3 years relevant experience
• Some familiarity with government legislative processes and policies, both federal and provincial
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Drive, motivation, initiative and a results-oriented perspective
• Valid driver’s license and access to vehicle
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Assets: bilingualism
