Global Technical Talent is seeking a Smart Grid Project Manager for a hybrid role in Portland, OR. The PM will oversee smart grid demonstrations, manage project delivery, and support project documentation. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and utility project management experience. A bachelor's degree is required, with a master's preferred. Job Title: Smart Grid Test Bed Project Manager
Contract Duration: 7+ Months
Work Type: Hybrid, 2-3 days onsite
Location: Portland, OR

Job Description:
• Project Manager (PM) within the client's Smart Grid Test Bed, overseeing end-to-end smart grid demonstrations.
• The Smart Grid Project Manager's day-to-day work to be led by the Team Lead, with select projects delivered solely by the PM.

Smart Grid Project Manager Tasks include:
• Project delivery:
• Manage and deliver select Smart Grid Test Bed field and customer-facing projects, including ownership of the scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
• Project support:
• Track, document, and file items in SharePoint.
• Create write-ups for various meetings or organizations.
• Check with project partners on the status of pending or overdue items.
• SharePoint: Manage the organization of and upload PPT/documentation files to the team SharePoint site.
• Notetaking: Generally expected to be taking notes for every meeting, including attendance.
• Meetings: Managing calendar invites and internal/external attendee invites.

Top 3 Must-Haves (Hard and/or Soft Skills):
• Clear communicator (written and verbal)
• Prior utility project management experience (technology implementation or customer programs)
• Self-starter (strategically plans)

Top 3 Nice-To-Haves (Hard and/or Soft Skills)
• Distributed Energy Resources (DER) technical expertise
• Utility customer programs expertise
• Utility financial tracking/budget management expertise

Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree, Master's preferred.

Certification Requirements:
• None required, Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred

Experience
• 5-10 years of experience
