Job Description
AIM Environmental Group is hiring a Skilled Laborer for its Composting Facility in Lethbridge, AB. The role involves assisting the Operations team with various tasks, including traffic management, inspections, and maintenance. Candidates should have general labor experience and a valid driver's license. The position requires working in a noisy, fast-paced environment, often lifting heavy materials, with a rotating schedule including weekends. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

The City of Lethbridge Composting Facility is located at the Lethbridge Waste & Recycling Centre. The Composting Facility processes Green Cart Organics from 34,500 single-family homes, 7,500 multi-family residences, and industrial organics.
AIM is looking for a Skilled Laborer to join our current team.
Skilled Laborer Profile:
We are seeking an individual to support our Operations team. Reporting to the Operations Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for and not limited to:
• Assist Operations team members with a variety of tasks and activities throughout all facilities and surrounding grounds.
• Perform traffic management and bay door operations to ensure Collections Trucks can enter, perform tasks, and exit the Facilities in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assists team members with daily inspections of receiving feedstock and separation of non- compostable products and materials.
• Performs daily inspections and minor maintenance of mobile rolling stock and stationary equipment to ensure compliance, safety, and optimum performance.
• Participates in various labor activities and handy work including but not limited to cleaning, materials management and facilities maintenance and improvements based on defined expectations and deliverables.
• Collaborates with team members to assign daily tasks, prioritize activities, and deliver outstanding performance and quality.
• Complete all documents and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Lives the safety-first mandate with unquestionable ethics and discipline to health & safety best practices.
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, respirator etc.) as required.
Qualifications:
• General labor experience in a similar environment is considered a strong asset.
• Experience working with Skidsteer, Aerial work platform is considered an asset
• Construction or heavy equipment background considered an asset.
• Valid Driver's License.

• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
• Exhibit strong time management & organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner.
Working Conditions:
• Frequent exposure to excessive noise, dirt, and dust.
• Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Working at heights and confined spaces.
• Work is mostly inside facility but occasionally outside.
• Fast paced environment.
• Hours of work will be 44 hours per week with weekends included.
• Availability to work overtime and flexible shifts when required.
• Specifically, qualified candidates MUST be available to work a rotating schedule that includes weekends.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
