Core Development Group is hiring a Site Supervisor for Solar PV Construction in Wilmington, DE. While primarily on-site, the job allows for remote work and travel to project locations in nearby states.
Job Title: Site Supervisor- Solar PV Construction

Purpose: The Site Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the successful execution of commercial solar PV projects by overseeing daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and project timelines. This position serves as the on-site leader, coordinating subcontractors, inspecting work, and driving performance to meet engineering specifications, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. The Site Supervisor is the face of the project in the field and a key liaison between the engineering, procurement, and construction teams.

Position Responsibilities:
• Supervise civil, mechanical, and electrical installations to ensure compliance with NEC and solar PV standards in accordance with three phases of quality control (Pre-Construction coordination, initial inspections, ongoing & final inspections)
• Monitor construction methods and workmanship to ensure alignment with engineered drawings and specifications.
• Maintain daily logs, weekly progress reports, and inspection records
• Track and report non-conformance issues (NCRs) and corrective actions (CARs).
• Communicate field updates and quality metrics to project managers and stakeholders
• Direct and support subcontractors to meet quality and safety expectations
• Conduct pre-construction reviews of subcontractor plans and personnel
• Ensure timely execution of work and resolve field-level conflicts
• Lead root cause analysis for field issues and implement corrective measures
• Identify opportunities to improve installation practices and workflow efficiency
• Stay informed on evolving solar technologies, codes, and construction techniques
• Serve as the primary liaison between field crews, project managers, and stakeholders
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and pride in workmanship
• Enforce site safety plans in coordination with third-party safety teams
• Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner without compromising quality

Experience:
• 5-10 years of experience in solar PV or general construction supervision
• Proven success managing multiple field crews, contractors, and subcontractors on C&I projects
• Strong understanding of solar PV systems, racking, wiring, trenching, and commissioning
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with ProCore or similar project management tools

Qualifications:
• Journeyman/licensed Electrician
• NABCEP Certification as installer or inspector strongly preferred (or capable of obtaining within 6 months of hire)
• OSHA 30 Certification
• Deep knowledge of construction codes and standards, including NEC (National Electrical Code), IBC (International Building Code), and relevant industry best practices for solar PV.

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical), or a related field.
• A combination of relevant work experience and technical training may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Travel: up to 95%

Location: The primary responsibilities include providing on-site project support in Delaware, with remote work and occasional travel to project locations across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania as needed.
