Job Description

Falcon Green Personnel is seeking a Site Manager for a temporary to permanent position in Reading, UK, to oversee MOD framework projects involving new build and refurbishment. Responsibilities include managing site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Site Manager
• Location: Reading
• Project Type: MOD Framework – New Build & Refurbishment
• Duration: Temporary to Permanent
• Rate: Up to £300 per day CIS

We are working with a leading Main Contractor delivering a long-term MOD framework in Reading, offering a secure pipeline of work for a minimum of 3 years, with potential for further extension. The project consists of a combination of new build and refurbishment schemes, forming part of a wider defence infrastructure programme. The new build elements will include a variety of structures such as office buildings, storage units, and ancillary buildings, constructed using a mix of steel frame and reinforced concrete (RC) frame methods. Refurbishment works will involve upgrades to existing facilities, including internal reconfigurations, M&E enhancements, and fabric repairs, all delivered within live operational environments.

Security Clearance Required

Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be eligible to undergo security vetting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Overseeing daily site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and programme compliance
• Coordinating subcontractors and trades to ensure smooth project delivery
• Managing site documentation, permits, and health & safety compliance
• Liaising with project teams, clients, and stakeholders
• Monitoring progress and reporting to the Project Manager
• Ensuring works are delivered to specification and within agreed timescales

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Site Manager on MOD or secured environment projects would be beneficial but not essential
• Strong background in managing both new build and refurbishment works
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid certifications
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills
• Eligibility for security clearance is essential
