Earthstream is seeking a Level 4 Service Technician for Siemens Gamesa in offshore wind, located in Germany. The role involves advanced maintenance and troubleshooting of wind turbines, leading operations, mentoring lower-level technicians, and ensuring safety and quality standards. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in wind turbine servicing, with offshore experience preferred, and must hold relevant certifications. The position requires physical fitness and adherence to offshore regulations.

Position Summary: As a Level 4 Service Technician for Siemens Gamesa in the offshore wind sector, you will play a critical role in the advanced maintenance and troubleshooting of offshore wind turbine systems. You will lead technical operations, ensure turbine availability, and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality while working in challenging offshore environments. This role serves as the senior field technician, acting as a technical expert and mentor for lower-level technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform complex troubleshooting, diagnostic analysis, and advanced repairs on offshore wind turbines, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Lead the execution of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance campaigns, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal turbine performance.
• Serve as the on-site lead, coordinating with operations teams, contractors, and control centers to ensure efficient workflows and safe operations.
• Provide guidance and supervision to Level 1–3 technicians, offering mentorship and on-the-job training.
• Conduct quality assurance checks, inspections, and ensure documentation is completed according to Siemens Gamesa standards and regulatory requirements.
• Use advanced fault-finding tools and software (e.g., SCADA systems) to analyze turbine data and drive performance improvements.
• Manage and maintain tools, materials, and work equipment, including planning for logistics associated with offshore operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts, providing feedback to engineering, R&D, and asset management teams.
• Adhere strictly to Siemens Gamesa’s HSE policies and promote a strong safety culture.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in wind turbine servicing, with at least 2 years offshore.
• Siemens technician certification up to Level 4 or equivalent experience in Siemens Gamesa offshore platforms (e.g., SWT-3.6, SWT-6.0, SG 8.0-167 DD, SG 11.0-200 DD).
• Strong understanding of electrical systems (high-voltage certification preferred), mechanical components, hydraulics, and blade repair techniques.
• Proven leadership capabilities and experience in team coordination.
• Familiar with offshore work regulations, including GWO standards and vessel/helicopter transfers.
• High level of physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces in offshore conditions.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional language skills a plus.
• Valid offshore medical certification and GWO training (BST, BTT, ART, HUET).
