About the role

We are currently recruiting for a Sewer Operator/ Attendant. This role will suit someone with a background as a plant operation, trades assistant or labourer.

Key responsibilities;
• Responsible for the operation of sewer facilities for Essential Water
• Emergency response recording and reporting on maintenance activities
• Response to customer enquiries and complaints
• Maintaining standards to remain compliant with quality assurance guidelines

About You

You will be someone with a strong commitment to a quality culture and implementing standards of excellence and a continuous improvement business focus. In your role you will be required to demonstrate safety and environmental compliance behaviours through role modelling and support of fellow employees.

Required Qualifications
• Ability to demonstrate relevant skills through past employment experience and/or a willingness to pursue a Wastewater Treatment Operations
• Drivers Licence and Work Cover Tickets for loaders, tippers, and backhoes (preferred, but can be obtained)
• Experience or willingness to develop skills in the operation, maintenance, and installation of sewerage facilities
• Knowledge of or interest in learning the application of industry, regulatory, and statutory requirements related to sewer and wastewater management
