Job Description

REsurety, Inc. is seeking a Settlement Analyst to evaluate clean energy contracts using meteorological and electricity market data. Responsibilities include calculating project generation, auditing invoices, and analyzing performance data for renewable energy projects. Candidates should have a background in math, finance, or related fields, be detail-oriented, and proficient in Excel. The role is remote-friendly, emphasizing collaboration and a passion for clean energy.
Position Overview

As a Settlement Analyst on the Analytics Services team, you will evaluate clean energy contracts for utility-scale projects using meteorological and electricity market data. You will perform detailed settlement and auditing calculations on projects and contracts for asset owners, buyers, and investors.
Key Responsibilities
• Calculate the project generation and settlement amount for clean energy contracts.
• Audit invoices for accuracy of generation, price, and application of contract settlement clauses.
• Develop insights into the generation and financial performance of renewable plants and portfolios.
• Analyze and understand electricity market, meteorological, and utility-scale wind and solar power plant data.
• Continue the advancement of REsurety's settlement and project performance assessment capabilities.
• Execute quality control checks of data critical to business processes
Required Experience & Qualifications
• Background in math, finance, accounting, physics, engineering, atmospheric science, data science, or a related field.
• Team-oriented contributor: learns from others and asks productive questions, thrives in a culture of continuous feedback.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented: capable of executing complex tasks with limited oversight
• Proficiency with Excel
• A passion for empowering the clean energy-fueled future!
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience generating settlement and performance reports for power purchase agreements
• Experience working in auditing or accounting of financial statements
• Experience in Tableau, SQL, R or Python
• Experience processing large datasets, including meteorological, finance, or operating wind or solar farm data
• Experience with wind & solar resource assessment techniques (incl. working with Windographer, PVsyst, etc.)

• Our organization works on a hybrid model. We are in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at our downtown Boston building, remote optional on Wednesdays and Fridays.
