Amount of Travel:Estimated between 50% - 75% during peak seasons

Copperhead Environmental Consulting is expanding our team and actively seeking a Senior Wetland Scientist / Project Manager to join our team of wildlife and aquatic biologists, foresters, planners and environmental scientists. JOB HIGHLIGHTS BELOW:

Primary Responsibilities
• Manage projects, including budgeting, invoicing, and scheduling
• Oversee and conduct wetland and waterway delineations
• Prepare and coordinate Section 404/401 permit applications
• Prepare clear and concise reports, procedures, correspondence, and other written material
• Coordinate and submit proposals
• Network within industry organizations to establish and expand the regional client base in the areas of environmental permitting, planning, and broad-based natural resources services
• Identify new business opportunities and grow client relationships and further expand business opportunities throughout the southeast

Key Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, botany, or related field
• At least 8 years of progressive experience in aquatic and wetland sciences
• At least 5 years of progressive project management experience
• Experience applying environmental compliance and permitting regulations
• Experience managing wetland and waterway delineations
• Experience preparing technical reports

Preferred Skills and Certifications
• Masters degree in in environmental science, biology, ecology, botany, or related field
• Candidates who hold or are eligible for the Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) certification valuable plus.
• Candidates who hold or are eligible for the Qualified Hydrologic Professional (QHP) for Tennessee certification valuable plus.
