Job Description
Dewberry has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Water Resource Engineer in the Central Florida Water Market. This engineer will be responsible for supporting our team on water and wastewater treatment projects for local, state, and regional clients, solving complex water and wastewater challenges. Responsibilities
• Management of projects, from concept through completion.
• Preparations of studies for facility master planning, alternatives analyses, feasibility studies, and preliminary engineering reports.
• Coordinating with staff from multiple design disciplines.
• Development of design documents and specifications and obtaining permits from regulatory agencies.
• Managing and mentoring staff.
• Making site visits to pursue project leads.
• Participation in the preparation of qualifications and proposals.
Required Skills & Required Experience
• Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering field is required; advanced degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.
• 10+ years' experience with advanced water and/or wastewater treatment increasing levels of project engagement.
• Florida PE license is required.
• Experience working with multi-disciplined design team.
• Lead the development of water and wastewater treatment process designs tailored to our customers' needs, including process flow diagrams, mass balances, process calculations and equipment specifications. Apply engineering principles and best practices to ensure the efficient and effective treatment of water and wastewater within our product scope.
• Experience in development of process flow diagrams and coordination of other supporting disciplines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
