Senior Transport Planner

Birmingham

Due to growth, my client is looking for a Senior/Principal Transport Planner to join their thriving team in the Birmingham office.

The team has developed and grown to a wide-range of projects and clients that cover a diverse set of schemes all across the UK, which includes Residential, Retail and Education. This would help the workload from the Bristol and Birmingham offices.

The role:

You will be:
• Working on and Managing complex Transport Planning Projects
• Taking lead on the development and delivery of the Projects
• Working on the promotion of development sites from Site Identification/acquisition, plus planning applications, submission and discharge of planning conditions
You would be working alongside the Transport team to deliver top of the range Consultancy Advice, liaising and getting a firm understanding of Clients Requirements and to effectively manage resources.

You will be helping support and mentor more junior staff as well as continuing your Project Management and commercial skills.

Ideally, you would have a firm understanding on Transport Planning Policy and Delivery of projects to clients.

Experience wise, you would need to demonstrate:
• Experience with Transport Statements, Assessments and Travel Plans
• Parking Strategies, Sustainable Transport, Section 278 and 106 agreements and guidance such as NPPF
• Use of the TRICS database
• Working use of PICADY and ARCADY, as well as an understanding of LINSIG
• Transport Modelling, and why this is useful
• Junction design (Roundabout, Signals)
