Job Description
ING is seeking a Senior Sustainable High Performance Expert in Amsterdam to drive sustainable performance within the Global Performance & Rewards CoE. The role involves designing global programs, leading wellbeing pilots, and enhancing performance management practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive HR experience, strong project management skills, and a passion for fostering a high-performance culture. The position emphasizes collaboration with HR teams and strategic engagement across multiple countries.
The purpose of the Global Sustainable High Performance Global Center of Expertise (CoE) is to drive sustainable high performance within ING
As part of the Global Performance & Rewards CoE, the team focuses on three key areas: Performance Management (Step Up), Wellbeing and Hybrid Working.
In addition to designing frameworks and tools, the team develops and implements global programs and learning journeys to support sustainable high performance and embed the concept of Pay for Performance.
The team
The Senior Sustainable High Performance Expert will report to the Global Head of Sustainable High Performance and collaborate within a small, impactful team of four members, including this role. Together, the team works to design and implement global initiatives that align with ING’s ambition to unlock our peoples full potential.
Roles and responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role are summarised below:
• Design and implement programs: Develop and execute global programs and learning journeys that support sustainable performance, wellbeing, and hybrid working practices.
• Drive sustainable high performance pilots: Lead the implementation and execution of wellbeing pilot programs across various countries to enhance employee satisfaction and productivity.
• Capability building: Design and deliver training programs for managers, employees, and HR professionals to improve performance management practices and wellbeing initiatives.
• Bring thought leadership and share expertise with HR community and management teams
• Develop guidelines and tools: Create and implement frameworks and tools to foster employee wellbeing, high-performance culture, and pay-for-performance strategies.
• Engage with HR Communities: Actively collaborate with HR teams in different countries to align on performance and wellbeing strategies and share best practices.
• Prepare communication materials: Develop and share communications about key topics, such as wellbeing and performance management, for MBB or publication on internal platforms like ING Today or Viva Engage.

• Strategic thinking and ability to create propositions that drive engagement, wellbeing and performance to unlock our peoples full potential.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing global frameworks and programs in a multinational environment.
• Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring of cross-functional initiatives across multiple geographies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership and HR teams.
• Analytical and hands-on approach: Ability to think conceptually and translate ideas into practical tools, programs, and processes.
• Consultancy skills and ability to create clear, impactful documentation and presentations for leadership audiences.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in (international) strategic HR roles
• A passion for promoting sustainable performance and fostering a high-performance culture.
