Job Description

Elevate is seeking a Senior Sustainability Specialist in Mexico City to manage supplier engagement and risk monitoring. Responsibilities include executing assessment plans, communicating with suppliers, reviewing audits, and maintaining internal guidance. Candidates should have a degree, 4-5+ years of relevant experience, and strong analytical skills. The role requires excellent English communication and a flexible attitude.
• *Job Overview:**

The Senior Sustainability Specialist plays a pivotal role in executing the Client's supplier engagement and risk monitoring program.

This individual will be responsible for ensuring the assessment plan is executed against expected timelines, communicating directly with suppliers before and after assessments, and working closely with the program lead to shape the program.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supplier Management & Communications: Act as an expert on specific client assessment requirements and manage the regional risk monitoring program externally.
• Plan, communicate, and continuously monitor execution of the assessment plan, ensuring suppliers schedule audits or other risk interventions as required.
• Engage monitoring firms as necessary to support suppliers in scheduling audits.
• Review all audits and/or risk interventions for region, focusing on areas such as repeated findings and critical issues.
• Data process support as required, including manual conversion, deploying eLearning, and referring suppliers to trainings.

Contribute to Reporting:
• Maintain internal guidance, standard operating procedures, and instructions that allow us to meet client expectations and SOW obligations.
• Keep systems and trackers up to date, accurate, and available to Client on a regular basis.
• Work in partnership with Data Analyst to provide KPIs related to Service Provider performance.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• A 4-year college degree.
• 4-5+ years of experience in Ethical Sourcing/Labor Compliance/Environmental arena.
• High level of integrity and honesty.
• Analytical skills and ability to identify risk.
• A flexible attitude and ability to adopt changes quickly.
• Creative and entrepreneurial minded.
