Job Description
Amazon.com, Inc is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager for its Grocery Logistics team in Birmingham, UK. The role involves strategic planning, network optimization, and capacity management to support grocery business growth. Key responsibilities include collaborating with various teams, developing long-term capacity plans, leading cross-functional projects, and creating innovative solutions for efficient customer service. Amazon Grocery Logistics (AGL) Supply Chain is responsible for the online grocery delivery fulfillment strategy across the Amazon Grocery network including topology design, capacity planning, network optimization, store launch strategy and execution, and scenario-planning for physical stores and FCs. The AGL team is looking for an experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager to own strategic and cross-functional business initiatives that support the growth of our grocery businesses. In this role, you will use analytical, technical, strategic and operations management to design, plan, and optimize network topology and capacity while balancing Under-the-Roof (UTR) and On-The-Road (OTR) tradeoffs. This includes leading business critical workstreams in support of key financial planning cycles and managing an evolving network of buildings that serve our customers across UK and CEU.,
• Partnering with Retail, Finance and Operations teams to define supply chain, network design, financial and operating models.
• Owning and developing long-term capacity plans for our FC and stores network to support Amazon's 1P Grocery busines. Outputs feed directly into business financial and strategic plans.
• Building complex models to determine future topology and capacity needs for our network, communicating this vision clearly to partner teams and senior leadership to enable strategic Real Estate and CapEx decisions.
• Forming cross-functional project teams, planning, managing and executing complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders with clear work backwards plans to meet business deadlines. Examples include new FC capabilities to enable the growth of our network.
• Developing tech requirements to ensure our fulfillment network can scale to address future challenges and growth.
• Creating innovative solutions and processes to find new ways to evaluate our network, and serve our customers more efficiently. The team is open to hire across corporate offices in EU: UK (London LHR16), Spain (Madrid). Please reach out to the Hiring Manager for more information.
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership - Experience in program or project management, Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field - Experience leading process improvements - Experience working cross functionally with non-tech teams
