What we’re looking for:

We are looking for Senior and Staff-level Business Intelligence Engineers to join our analytics team, focused on providing data-based insight and tooling automation to our operations team to dramatically reduce cost to serve and enable Arcadia to scale. The Sr/Staff Business Intelligence Engineer will contribute to analytics data models in our Lakehouse, build data-based reporting and tooling to automate manual processes, and analyze the drivers of cost-to-serve to provide (and often act on) data-driven insight and recommendations.

What you’ll do:
• Develop a deep understanding of Arcadia’s business, operations, and data nuances and use that to inform how we approach operations analysis and delivery of analysis, reporting, and tooling
• Build strong, proactive relationships with stakeholders, including leadership, to identify and champion opportunities to use analytics to create business value
• Contribute to scaling and maintaining a complex set of analytics data models based on market-leading technology (Snowflake, dbt, Hex, Lightdash)
• Build new data-based tools to help automate critical operational processes and reduce cost-to-serve
• Develop cost-to-serve metrics and deliver analysis on drivers of cost to serve, identifying and communicating key business insights and value-added recommendations
• Design and develop dashboard solutions for use by the operations analytics team and to enable broader organization-wide data self-service
• Drive a culture of urgency, impact, intellectual curiosity, and continuous improvement

What will help you succeed

Must-haves:
• 5+ years in data analytics, business intelligence, or related field
• Consistent record of exploratory data analysis, distilling actionable insights and recommendations, and telling a story with data
• Strong proficiency in SQL
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with peers and with senior stakeholders
• Extensive reporting and visualization experience with tools like Looker or Tableau
• Strong familiarity with core data modeling concepts and experience with dbt or other data modeling and ETL/ELT systems
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Nice-to-haves:
• Applied experience with statistics and basic data science modeling
• Experience with Python
• Experience mentoring other team members
• Experience working in the energy sector
