The Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) is a global network that aims to promote the resilience of new and existing infrastructure systems to climate and disaster risks in support of sustainable development.

We are committed to achieving disaster and climate resilience of existing and future infrastructure by enhancing capacity, informing policy, planning, and management.
About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Specialist – Programmes to support our mission. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to develop, implement, and monitor projects and studies related to disaster response and recovery, innovation, institutional, and community capacity-building assistance, and standards and certification.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in relevant fields such as Architecture, Engineering, Infrastructure Planning, Transport Planning/Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Applied Sciences, Actuarial Sciences, or Economics.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the development of strategies for technical assistance and cooperation for respective domain/sectoral initiative
• Participate in programming and network activities, capacity development, knowledge sharing, staff mentoring, and updating latest developments and issues related to respective domain and CDRI member countries
• Support to identify, prepare, appraise, and document projects/technical assistance to CDRI member countries
• Lead the monitoring, periodic review, and progress reporting of project/program implementation, compliance with workplans and budgets, and the achievement of desired project/sector outcomes
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications, experience, and skills:
• Master's degree in relevant field
• 8-10 years of experience in relevant position at national or international level
• Specific experience in critical infrastructure sectors, resilience, and disaster risk reduction within essential sectors of infrastructure
• Experience of working in international organization and with diverse number of partners comprising Governments, UN, multi-lateral systems, industry, financial institutions, and knowledge and research institutions in multi-country locations
Languages and Salary

The incumbent will report to Lead Specialist or appropriate role per approved organizational structure.

Fluency in English, both oral and written, is required. Knowledge of any of the UN's official languages will be an asset.
