Corgan is hiring a Senior Specialist II, Sustainability in Culver City, CA, to lead and manage sustainable design projects across various sectors. Overview

Corgan is seeking a Senior Sustainable Design Analyst to join its dynamic and expanding ECHO team of sustainable design experts to lead, manage and support a wide array of projects ranging from aviation, data centers, education, interiors and others. You will contribute to and manage several concurrent projects supporting the design team on topics including but not limited to: design and assessment of various projects; bespoke sustainability frameworks; environmental and energy analytics; health and well-being design strategies; building physics and material science; third party certifications; GHG emission analysis; coordination of sustainability assessments and benchmarking of building projects. You will also work on projects which focus on the development of climate impact mitigation and resilience strategies. The role will challenge you to work across interdisciplinary teams with a wide range of client types.

The role seeks an individual with a strong combination of technical, strategic, and management thinking as well as effective communication skills across mediums. In this role, you'd be , contribute to the design of energy/water/waste systems, lead sustainability assessment workshops, source energy & resource efficiency ideas, identify and analyze alternatives, quantify sustainability impacts using life-cycle analysis and other metrics help develop spreadsheet or coding-based analyses , prepare written summaries of work for clients, present on process and findings to technical and non-technical audiences, attend client meetings, and assist with or lead proposals. Your experience and capability will determine the breadth of your responsibility.

Responsibilities

Hold a Bachelor's degree in, Architecture, Engineering, Energy, Environmental Science, Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Engineering or a closely related field. A Master's degree in a similar field is preferred Have 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a consistent track record Hold a LEED, WELL, AIA, PE, CEM or similar accreditation Building design experience, including identification, analysis and selection of appropriate integrated strategies; In-depth knowledge of specific building or campus scale sustainability topics such as indoor environments, healthy materials, embodied energy, waste management, energy analytics amongst others; Sustainability assessment of projects in the built environment using at least one of the following frameworks: LEED, WELL, ENVISION, and/or other GBCI rating systems Cost & benefit analysis over a project life cycle to support decision-making; Assessment and estimation of energy & resource efficiency potential; Sustainability codes and standards development and implementation; Integrated systems design; energy, transportation, water, waste, materials. Experience with project budgeting, cost tracking, and interdisciplinary team management. Proposal development and management

Qualifications

Strong candidates will also be able to demonstrate experience in:

Climate change related policy and services action development - including GHG mitigation and climate adaptation Performance design strategies for complicated building types such as aviation and data centers; Portfolio, campus and city scale sustainability and resiliency frameworks

Outstanding leadership and communication skills, including writing, presenting, and workshop leading Outstanding skills in integrated analytical problem solving Superior ability in the use of the following software: the full MS Office suite, specialized design and presentation software Strong understanding of energy, water, waste and resource technologies Strong familiarity with triple bottom line cost-effectiveness thinking and analysis Strong knowledge of policy and economic issues related to climate change Strong multi-tasking and project management skills

This position is designated as full-time on-site and requires the employee to be physically present at the assigned office location Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Regular, reliable on-site attendance is an essential function of this role.

Base Salary Range: $96,500 - $130,000 annually - Los Angeles location only

The estimate range represents the general base salary range of candidates hired in Los Angeles only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. In addition, base salary is not inclusive of total compensation.
