Our client, a leader in sustainable energy solutions, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Renewable Energy Project Manager to drive the development and execution of large-scale solar energy projects. This fully remote position allows you to leverage your expertise in project management, renewable energy technologies, and stakeholder engagement from anywhere. You will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and site selection through to design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the solar industry, a strong track record in managing complex projects, and exceptional leadership skills.

Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end management of utility-scale and commercial solar energy projects. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and financial modeling to evaluate project viability. Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Oversee the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) phases, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, investors, regulatory bodies, and EPC contractors. Secure necessary permits and approvals, and ensure compliance with all environmental and safety regulations. Monitor project performance, identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as needed. Prepare regular project status reports and present updates to senior management and clients. Stay abreast of advancements in solar technology, market trends, and regulatory landscapes. Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies within the organization. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil), Environmental Science, or a related field; Master's degree or PMP certification is a strong plus. Minimum of 8 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years specifically focused on renewable energy projects, particularly solar. Proven track record of successfully managing multiple complex solar projects from inception to completion. In-depth knowledge of solar PV technology, project finance, interconnection processes, and grid integration. Strong understanding of EPC contract negotiation and management. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and standard office applications. Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and collaborate with distributed teams in a remote setting. This role is fully remote, with the location Chicago, Illinois, US representing one of the key operational hubs for our client's extensive energy network. You will play a critical part in advancing clean energy solutions.
