About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Renewable Energy Development Manager to join our team in Milan, Italy. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of utility-scale renewable energy projects in Italy, from site identification and acquisition through to full permitting and ready-to-build status.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the development of large-scale renewable energy projects in Italy, including solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and onshore wind.
• Lead and coordinate all permitting activities, including environmental impact assessments, grid applications, and local authority approvals.
• Liaise with technical consultants, legal advisors, landowners, and public institutions to ensure compliance and progress at every stage.
• Monitor regulatory developments and grid connection opportunities to inform project strategy.
• Collaborate with internal teams across Europe to deliver projects that meet commercial and environmental targets.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, timelines, and risk registers.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in managing the development of large-scale renewable energy projects in Italy.
• In-depth understanding of Italian permitting and regulatory frameworks for energy infrastructure.
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple complex projects concurrently.
• Confident working across a matrix organisation and with international teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
