Position: Senior Consultant (Senior Renewable Energy Consultant (Solar & Utilities SME) Location: 100% Onsite Des Moines, IA

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Must Have:
• Extensive consulting experience in the Energy & Utility industry
• Proven expertise as an SME with Regulators and Utilities in Renewables Solar
• Strong background in Project Management, Market Research, Financial Modeling, and Contractual Due Diligence

• Process Optimization for energy assets
• Regulatory approvals and contract negotiations

Job Summary/Responsibilities:
• Optimize the portfolio performance of Solar plants, including vendor management, regulatory approvals, and contract negotiations
• Develop electricity procurement and carbon pricing strategies
• Build power sector transformation frameworks for regulators
• Develop risk mitigation strategies for transmission congestion using complex data models
• Engage with key regulatory stakeholders to achieve business objectives
• Set up a PMO framework for PPA and EPC contract reviews
• Enhance existing asset performance through continuous optimization and KPI improvements
• Assess leveraging ML on G-suite data for wind and solar plant tracking
• Develop frameworks for evaluating power purchase, open access, and carbon credit contracts
• Lead the development of annual ESG reports, ratings, and enterprise data optimization strategies
