Senior Purchasing Agent

Wood Plc is seeking a Senior Purchasing Agent in Greenville, SC, responsible for supervising a supply chain project team focused on purchasing and expediting. The role involves monitoring procurement activities, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and implementing effective supply chain strategies. Overview / Responsibilities

Responsible for the supervision and guidance of a deployed supply chain project team responsible for purchasing and expediting.

Key aspects of the role include the supervision of the supply chain activities and assigned supply chain personnel working within the project.

Clear understanding of the client's head contract requirements including Wood responsibilities and incorporates those into appropriate project supply chain strategies, plans, procedures and terms and conditions. Has broad base knowledge of commercial terms and conditions, interfaces with Wood legal/commercial experts and can under guidance initiate/discuss adaptations in order to reach a robust commercial agreement.

Regularly monitors and reports progress of all project procurement activities. Ensures team regularly update reports/systems with required information to allow accurate reporting and escalates any critical issues and risks to project management.

Implementation of effective Supplier Relationship Management that supports driving cost andefficiency, driving value engineering and innovation and developing market intelligence that supports project execution. Support tendering activities and development of specific supply chains strategies to support project execution Delivery against internal and external in year savings targets as per business plan and effective reporting
