Job Purpose

Oversee and drive the execution of multiple inter-related engineering projects for a rapidly growing innovation business. The role will be responsible for driving a fast paced, global, cross-functional team to achieve key business deliverables.

Lead a team of Program and Project Managers to ensure overall company program deliverables are achieved, on time and on budget.

This role requires strong leadership skills, outstanding program management skills, high energy, passion and the ability to navigate and deliver complex projects on time and on budget within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Leadership:
• Working very closely with cross functional teams across automotive software, hardware and application engineering to oversee program deliverables to meet business objectives.
• Drive programs from initiation through to successful completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Ensure company program objectives and deliverables are clearly communicated and understand.
• Ensure program / project managers drive outcomes to completion (on time and on budget).

2. Stakeholder Management:
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including engineering, product development and executive leadership, to ensure alignment on program objectives and priorities.
• Facilitate robust communication across the business and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

3. Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks and issues early in the program lifecycle.
• Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address challenges promptly and minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.

4. Resource Allocation:
• Provide input into resource allocation across projects, including personnel, budget, and equipment.
• Optimize resource utilization and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.

5. Reporting and Documentation:
• Establish clear reporting structures and mechanisms to provide regular updates on program status, milestones, and metrics.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of project plans, schedules, and outcomes.

6. Continuous Improvement:
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the program management framework.
• Ensure consistency of process across program / project management throughout the business.
• Foster a culture of innovation and operational excellence to enhance program delivery capabilities.

7. Quality Assurance:
• Ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Implement rigorous testing and validation processes to verify product performance and reliability.

Requirements

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.

Experience:
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in program management in fast paced dynamic environments
• A proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
• Experience in Agile methodologies is highly desirable.

Leadership Skills:
• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience in coaching and developing team members to achieve high performance.
• Lead and mentor Program Officers/Managers.

Communication Skills:
• Outstanding listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of presenting complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, including executive management.
• Strong collaborative communication skills to achieve buy in from cross functional engineering teams to ensure program remains on track.

Analytical Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in using data-driven insights to inform decision-making and optimize program outcomes.

Certifications:
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
