Clean Energy Programme Senior Programme Associate
iFOREST is seeking an experienced professional to support and lead research and policy engagement in the Clean Energy Programme.
The ideal candidate will have a proven aptitude for analytical research, multi-stakeholder engagement, and comprehensive knowledge of India's clean energy policy and regulatory landscape.
The successful applicant must clearly understand and appreciate the role played by think tanks in shaping public policy and supporting its implementation.
The position requires a Master's degree from a recognised institution in a relevant field, including management, economics, public policy, energy policy, renewable energy technology etc., with 5-8 years of work experience in research, consulting, or advisory-related fields, focusing specifically on the renewable energy sector.
Key responsibilities include executing research and engagement outputs, conducting impactful research, supporting multi-stakeholder engagement, designing research assignments, writing research documents, mentoring young researchers, and staying abreast with the latest developments and debates in the clean energy sector.
The programme associate will contribute to shaping the overall strategy for the programme, aligned with institutional priorities, sector-specific issues, and ongoing work of other key institutions, and support the identification of new pathways, initiatives, and partnerships that contribute to programmatic goals.
The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive understanding of India's clean energy sector, deep knowledge of India's energy policies, programmes, regulations, and initiatives at the national and sub-national levels, informed about ongoing discussions around clean energy and climate change at the international and national levels, technical knowledge of the power sector, proficiency in research and writing, and demonstrated ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative methods of research.
