Senior Product Manager – Energy Storage

Generac Power Systems is seeking a Senior Product Manager for its Energy Storage team, ideally based in Reno, NV, but open to remote candidates within the US. The role involves driving product strategy for energy storage solutions, collaborating with teams, conducting market research, and managing the product lifecycle. Candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree and 5+ years of product management experience in clean technology or energy sectors.

Generac Clean Energy Technology team is growing again! Our product team is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead our energy storage product line. Ideally, youll be based in our new Center of Excellence, Reno Nevada however we will consider a remote role for the right candidate within the US.

Responsibilities:

Drive product strategy and roadmap for grid-scale and residential energy storage solutions

Collaborate with engineering, sales, and operations teams to develop innovative products

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats

Define product requirements and prioritize features based on customer needs and market trends

Manage product lifecycle from concept to launch, including pricing and go-to-market strategies

Analyze product performance metrics and customer feedback to guide continuous improvement

Be able and willing to travel up to 25%

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Electrical or Mechanical

5+ years of product management experience, preferably in clean technology or energy sectors for consumer product markets

Strong understanding of energy storage technologies and market dynamics with a focus on Solar

Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills

The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
