Job Description

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager for Energy Infrastructure and Data Center Supply Chain in Herndon, VA. This role involves developing sourcing strategies for energy infrastructure, collaborating with teams and suppliers, and ensuring supplier accountability. Candidates should have a degree in a related field or 5+ years of experience, with 8+ years in procurement, particularly in the energy sector. We're looking for a skilled professional to support our data center operations in the Americas and help drive innovative solutions in energy infrastructure procurement.

In this role, you will:
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for energy infrastructure categories such as substations, generators, and renewable energy systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to enhance efficiency, reduce risks, and manage costs.
• Create mechanisms and metrics to ensure supplier accountability and measure performance.
• Utilize competitive bidding, negotiation, and data analysis to achieve optimal outcomes for the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess:
• A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, Operations, or a related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 8+ years of experience in procurement and supply chain management with a focus on construction services and materials.
• Experience in the energy sector, including oil & gas or renewable technologies, and familiarity with construction and commissioning processes.
• Strong analytical, financial, and quantitative skills with a proven track record of driving process improvements.
• The ability to navigate a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
