Duties & Responsibilities

Be the Expert on the Market:
• Conduct deep-dive research into residential, commercial, and industrial solar segments.
• Use surveys, focus groups, and interviews to understand what drives (or holds back) solar adoption.
• Stay ahead of regulatory and policy shifts shaping the African solar landscape.
• Track technological advancements, energy storage innovations, and financing trends.

Analyze, Forecast & Benchmark:
• Identify high-growth opportunities and market risks using data analytics.
• Build forecast models to assess demand, market penetration, and revenue potential.
• Benchmark Wetility against key local and global competitors.
• Provide scenario planning insights for new business ventures.

Fuel Business Growth & Strategy:
• Support strategic decision-making with data-driven insights.
• Contribute to executive presentations and board reports with compelling market intelligence.
• Develop industry reports and market sizing models to guide expansion plans.
• Help shape Wetility’s go-to-market strategy with actionable customer and industry insights.

Desired Experience & Qualification

✔ Relevant Degree in Economics, Business, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.

✔ 3+ years’ experience in market intelligence, consumer insights, or business analytics.

✔ Expertise in survey design, qualitative & quantitative research, and customer behavior analysis.

✔ Strong data analytics skills (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar).

✔ Experience in market sizing, demand forecasting, and competitive benchmarking.

✔ Deep understanding of solar energy, renewable tech, and financing models.
