The Boeing Company’s Global Enterprise Sustainability (GES) team is seeking a Senior Manager of Global Sustainability Reporting & Governance (GSRG) who will advance our enterprise-wide sustainability reporting and disclosure practices and governance processes to meet regulatory requirements and stakeholder needs. This position can be located in Arlington, VA or Berkeley, MO.

Our Sustainability Programs, Risk & Reporting (SPRR) team has an outstanding opportunity for a strategic problem solver with a passion for sustainability who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Position Responsibilities:

+ Lead global team to deliver on compliance obligations; grow and develop talent to meet stakeholder expectations and future company needs

+ Lead Boeing’s mandatory sustainability reporting activities, including emerging regulations in California, the UK, Australia, the EU, and other jurisdictions

+ Lead Boeing's sustainability reporting activities including managing the annual enterprise sustainability report and sustainability portion of our company’s Proxy Statement

+ Mature Boeing’s data collection and control practices in support of all reporting needs, including future regulatory and assurance requirements

+ Mature Boeing’s governance practices in line with emerging regulatory requirements across the globe

+ Lead GSR&G risk identification and management and integration into our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Compliance Risk Management (CRM) processes

+ Lead operational sustainability activities outside of the United States, specifically in the United Kingdom, European Union and Australia

+ Respond to ESG surveys from key stakeholders including customers, investors, industry groups and more; as well as answering rating agency questions, and governing data release

+ Track emerging policy, framework and regulatory changes related to Sustainability and collaborating with internal partners to prepare and respond, as needs arise

+ Collaborate externally and internally with cross-industry and enterprise peers to benchmark and share best practices and standard methodologies

+ Engage with external sustainability standards organizations and rating agencies, as needed, to develop relationships and a detailed understanding the frameworks and ratings systems to identify gaps and priorities in our sustainability data and messaging
• *Critical skills and experiences for success in the role include:**

+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including ability to establish relationships and build trust with key stakeholders including team members, customers, peers, business and functional partners

+ Excellent written, presentation and interpersonal communications skills for internal and external audiences at all levels

+ Critical thinking, analytical skills, strategic decision making

+ Strategic planning, strategy development and program/project management

+ Collaborative approach to teamwork & partnership

+ Ability to work with employees across all levels including Senior Leadership/C-Suite members

+ Proficient to sophisticated in presentation development/PowerPoint and data analysis/Excel

+ Ability to travel up to 25% for the role
• *This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Currently 3 days in office a week.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

+ Bachelor’s degree in related field

+ 5+ years of experience in environmental sustainability, business management, policy development or related field

+ 5+ years of experience leading teams and/or projects

+ 3+ years of experience in sustainability, ESG/sustainability reporting, corporate social responsibility and/or operations/environment/efficiency
• *Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**

+ Master’s Degree or higher in related field

+ Leadership experience in managing sustainability programs, teams, or sustainability strategies for organizations with global business reach

+ Data management/governance; experience with reporting data platforms (e.g. Workiva, Enablon, etc.)

+ Direct experience assessing regulatory policy, developing advocacy strategies and compliance pathways

+ Direct experience leading or participating in corporate sustainability reporting for a global/multi-national company

+ Direct experience with and deep knowledge of regulatory, standards and frameworks related to sustainability reporting and operations (e.g. global climate disclosure regulations, Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), Greenhouse Gas Protocol, etc.)

Summary pay range: $186,150 - $251,850
