Job Description / Responsibility
• Prepare initial and preliminary cost estimates during the feasibility and design phases to support project decision-making.
• Research and collect data on material, labor, and equipment costs from suppliers, vendors, and market sources.
• Incorporate inputs from architectural and engineering teams (civil, electrical, plumbing, etc.) to refine and validate cost estimations.
• Develop detailed, accurate cost breakdowns for approved designs, covering labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and overheads.
• Review and update cost estimates at defined project milestones or when scope/design changes occur.
• Track and monitor project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Conduct variance analyses to identify and report deviations between estimated and actual project costs.
• Establish and continuously improve cost estimation procedures, templates, and policies to drive consistency and accuracy.
• Implement best practices in cost control, documentation, and financial reporting.
• Lead and mentor a team of cost analysts or junior estimators as applicable.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to relevant departments on costing methodologies, tools, and standards.

Educational Requirements
• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
