Are you up for the challenge?
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our legal function and provide support to a Queensland based project. The position will be based in our Brisbane office with site travel as required.
This role will see you assisting the project in ensuring that John Holland’s rights and obligations are protected, and its operations are conducted within the limits prescribed by law.
About the Role
• Provide independent legal advice and recommendations to John Holland across the project to ensure that commercial arrangements and risk management is acceptable, particularly with reference to John Holland’s procedures and authority levels, and applicable legislation
• Advise John Holland on its rights and obligations pursuant to relevant legislation and contracts
• Draft and review contractual notices upstream and downstream to protect John Holland’s rights and obligations
• Provide legal advice and support in the resolution of differences and disputes
• Interact professionally with client, external vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders as required
• Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, reporting, systems, and procedures
About You
This position will require you to hold Graduate qualifications in Law, as well as a current Australian Practicing Certificate.
You will have significant experience in project delivery and back-end construction law.
