About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced
Senior Laravel Developer
to lead backend engineering for a high-scale, real-time, subscription-based mobile platform. This is a fully
on-site role in Islamabad
, requiring close coordination with cross-functional teams including mobile, frontend (Angular), and QA.
The system involves
live tracking, real-time communication, payment processing, and high-volume data operations
, so we need someone who can architect, optimize, and scale complex backend systems efficiently.


Key Responsibilities

Architect, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Laravel
Design and manage
high-performance RESTful APIs
for mobile applications (iOS & Android)
Implement and optimize
real-time/live tracking systems
(location updates, session tracking, status changes)
Build and manage
chat/messaging modules
(real-time or near real-time communication)
Integrate and maintain
SMS gateways
for OTPs, notifications, and transactional messaging
Handle
payment gateway integrations
including subscriptions, recurring billing, and transaction validation
Collaborate with frontend team working on
Angular-based admin panel
Ensure seamless communication between mobile apps, admin panel, and backend services
Optimize
database queries and performance
for large-scale datasets (MySQL)
Implement caching strategies (Redis) and queue systems for background processing
Maintain system reliability, logging, monitoring, and error handling
Enforce security best practices across APIs and data handling

Core Technical Requirements

5+ years of experience in
PHP (Laravel Framework)
Strong expertise in
REST API architecture
for mobile-first platforms
Proven experience with:
Live tracking / real-time systems
(WebSockets, Firebase, Pusher, or similar)
Chat systems / messaging architectures
SMS gateway integrations
(OTP flows, transactional alerts)
Payment gateway integrations
(subscriptions, recurring billing, webhooks)
Strong command of
MySQL
:
Complex query writing
Query optimization and indexing strategies
Handling high-load databases
Experience with
Redis (caching, queues, pub/sub)
Familiarity with
AWS or similar cloud infrastructure
Experience with
third-party API integrations and SDKs
Strong understanding of
authentication, authorization, and API security
Proficiency in
Git workflows and collaborative development

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with
Angular-based admin dashboards
Familiarity with
event tracking systems
(e.g., TikTok, Snapchat SDK events)
Exposure to
microservices architecture
or modular backend design
Experience with
